Notice of 2024 Annual Meetings Schedule of the Board of Trustees of the MGFPD

Notice is hereby given that the Annual Meetings schedule of the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Green Fire Protection District is as follows:

• January 8, 2024
• March 4, 2024
• May 6, 2024
• July 8, 2024
• September 9, 2024
• November 4, 2024
• December 2, 2024

All meetings shall be held at the Fire Station located at 4565 W. Old Highway, Mountain Green, Utah and unless notice to the public is provided to the contrary, all meetings shall commence at 6:30 PM.

If any meeting falls on a legal holiday or for other legitimate reasons the Board of Trustees decides to not hold a regularly scheduled meeting, the meeting will be rescheduled and the Board shall notify the public in accordance with the Utah Open and Public Meetings law.

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Green Fire Protection District (the “District”) will hold a public hearing on February 12, 2024 commencing at 6:30 p.m. at the district office at 4565 West Old Highway Road, Mountain Green, Utah 84050 for the purpose of receiving public comments on the 

following: 

1. An updated/amended Fire Impact Fee Analysis (“IFA”)
2. Resolution No.2023 – 10 adopting an increase in the amount of impact fees collected by the district for commercial, church and airplane hangers.

The proposed updates/amended Impact Fee Analysis and Resolution will be available for public inspection on the District’s website at www.mgfpd.org and at the district office during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Monday through Friday) at least 10 days before the public hearing.  This Notice is being given in satisfaction of the requirements of Utah Code 11-36a-504 and 17b-1-111.  If you cannot attend the public hearing and would like to submit written comments, they will be received at the district office until 5:00 p.m. on the date of the public hearing.  Anyone requiring assistance to understand or participate in the public hearing is encouraged to contact Tim Barnes, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, at mgfd.tbarnes@gmail.com and/or 801-695-0724 at least two days before the public hearing so assistance may be provided.

Notice is hereby given that the Mountain Green Fire Protection District (“District”) shall hold a public hearing at 6:00 PM at its offices located at 4565 W. Old Highway, Mountain Green, Utah on December 4, 2023 for purposes of discussing and approving its Budget for calendar year ending December 31, 2024.

All concerned citizens are invited to the public hearing on the 2024 Budget. Please contact Robert Woodcock, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mountain Green Fire Protection District, at firetrustee2@gmail.com and/or 502-310-9943 if you have questions about this hearing or if you would like to review the Preliminary 2024 Budget of the District prior to the hearing.
