BURN PERMITS

Fire season is CLOSED statewide from June 1 to October 31. Permits may be obtained from the County Fire Warden after September 15.

The County Fire Warden is a Utah State employee of the Division of Natural Resources (DNR). The Fire Warden or Assistant Fire Warden regulate issuance of Burn Permits within all of Morgan County, including Mountain Green.

Burn Permits depend upon a number of factors such as burn period/seasonal dates, clearing index (weather that allows smoke to "clear"), what is to be burned, and where. Burn Permits and additional instructions can be found at this link:
